Happy New Year!

I have 2 excuses for why updating has been so lame lately.
1. I'm pregnant! and have been miserable for the past 13 weeks! So all free time has been devoted to napping. The past week or two has actually been somewhat bearable, luckily, but all in all this pregnancy has been completely opposite from Parker. Here is a picture of our new little baby

From 2010-01

Already this little bundle of joy is super active. All the ultrasounds we have had, the baby has been moving all over, kicking it's little legs, and waving it's little arms all around.

2. We received an awesome camera for Christmas and viewing the photos from the laptop takes forever to load and I give up waiting after a couple of minutes, therefore being unable to update the blog.

So, enough excuses. I'll try to fill in the last month now.
Our trip to Utah was a lot of fun (beside all things airport/airplane). Parker absolutely loved the snow and riding in his new sled. Thanks Vovo and Grandpa.

Lately Parker has been trying to say a lot more words. He is usually really good at trying to mimic whatever you say, although it hardly ever sounds like the word, we know he's trying. But a couple of weeks ago he intentionally said "momma" and "dadda". Melts my heart every time. He also can say "bye-bye", "nana" (banana), "poppa", and a few others. He is so curious about everything and studies his toys to figure out how they operate. He still loves books and you can often find him walking around the house with one in his hand. (or sitting by the fire)

He is in the nursery at church (early since I have recently been called there) and could stay in there longer than 2 hours if he could. Parker also really enjoys playing with his trains and train table. Quite often more than just the trains ride the tracks. Oh and the other day, I walked in after a night of sleep to find this:

Other than that, not much else is going on. Still gradually working on the house and preparing ourselves for 2 kids!

congratulations! those first 13 weeks are miserable...good thing it's all for such a precious cause! i hear we are due around the same time. maybe we can just live in the pool through the heat of the summer and teach parker and grace how to swim!

Jenny, sounds like a fabulous idea. It will feel really good to be weightless in the pool. Oh and we should definitely do fairytale town still. It's open thur-sun 10am-4pm (weather permitting) and funderland opens end of january. Let's go to both in February!
