Halloween 2013

Both Parker and Mabel were bouncing off the walls before we even left the house this evening! They were very much looking forward to trick or treating and couldn't wait to get going. Originally Mabel was going to be Doc McStuffins (character from Disney junior) and Parker a dragon, but once Parker decided to be a Wild Kratt, so was Mabel. Trevor and I played along and dressed up as two other characters from the show; Aviva and Zack. The kids loved this, although not very many people knew who we were. Lyla was her cute self along with a koala hoodie.

This year we walked with our neighbor Sandy, her daughter, and Vovo and Grandpa came along as well. Both kids lasted a long time, running up to every house until we reached the house with the jumping spider! And then they were a little more cautious going up.

Funniest moment of the night:
  We were at one house who had spooky music playing outside and the lady inside said she was a fortune teller. She pulls out the black 8 ball and says "ask me a question" Parker says " why do you have that magic ball?" Lady says " because I am a fortune teller. Do you want to ask me a question?" Parker "that was my question!"

The kids got way too much candy. Mabel said she was going to share it with Daddy. Lyla was really good cruising around in the stroller. And we were even home in time for one trick or treater that the kids were thrilled about (A giant green M&M!!).
