Grandma & Grandpa K had to cancel their trip to Sacramento this weekend for Christmas, so Grandma Kay could spend her Mom's last days together. Our thoughts and prayers are with her as she is now on the other side.
We took advantage of a beautiful day today at the advice of our dental hygienist and went up to Hidden Falls park in Auburn for some hiking with our friends the Nietos. It was a pretty difficult hike for the kids, 3 miles round trip, with about 500 feet of climbing on the way back to the trail head. As usual, we intended to leave in the morning, but ended up at the trail head around 12PM, then the trail was way longer than we though, and didn't end up getting to lunch until about 3PM. We found ourselves short on snacks, and strollers, and heavy on jackets & extra clothes. All around it was a really fun time, and a really great waterfall i had no idea about.
