Hiking

We went on a nice (short) hike on Monday down by the American River. Parker loves to be outside and enjoyed a quick picnic down by the water. We hope to do many more of these when the weather is nice.

About Lyla

Lyla Mae was born in September of 2012. She has been through so much in life in just a short period. She had a congenital heart defect known as AVSD that was corrected through surgery at about 4 months old. She also has a G-tube (gastric tube) to help her get the nourishment she is unable to get through oral feeds.

It was also known before birth the Lyla would have a genetic disorder known as Down Syndrome. As parents we're not quite sure what to expect in the coming years, but we're excited to get to know her and love her. You can follow her journey separately here: http://lylasteps.blogspot.com
