We have been taking advantage of the sunshine here in Sacramento. Last weekend we went to the Effie Yeaw Nature Center at Ancil Hoffman Park. Even though Parker is too young for the nature displays, he definitely enjoyed our hike down to the river and lunch by the water. This is quickly becoming our favorite thing to do (it's free). This time Parker was able to sit up by himself and he lasted much longer than when we've gone before. He watched the ducks swim and birds fly by while we ate our sandwiches.
It's also been an interesting couple of weeks trying to get Parker to fall asleep without being swaddled. Since he's been home he's been swaddled for bed. Now that he is older, he won't stay in a swaddle and he doesn't know what to do with his hands. Well after a couple of trys he ended up on his stomach, reversed, and head into the side of the crib. I was so proud of him.
I'm also proud to say that Lil' P is eating more and more everyday. Feeding time doesn't feel so much like a chore anymore. He actually gets excited about eating (most things) and wanting more! We just adore our little guy. He makes us laugh everyday and is just so happy.
Check back later for photos and video in the photo album.
