San Diego

Last week Parker went on his first plane trip! He and I traveled to San Diego to meet up with Vovo and Grandpa Riewold who drove from Utah. Uncle Craig accompanied us on the plane and helped with all the luggage. He was such an angel on the plane! Hardly made a peep on the way to SD, but was a little fussy on the way home.

We had a nice time and were able to go to both Sea World and the zoo. Parker truly enjoyed watching the animals move around. He saw grizzly bears, monkeys, manatees, catfish, Shamu (and pigeons that were running around the Shamu show), penguins, and elephants. He was such a trooper throughout the week with skipping naps, fevers, and not eating much. Thank you Vovo and Grandpa for a nice time in San Diego!

While we were gone Trevor was working hard on the house mudding, spraying texture, and painting like crazy! Thanks babe!

On Monday morning Trevor and I walked in to Parker's room to see this



What's wrong with this picture you ask? It was the first time he sat up in his crib by himself. I was so shocked! He hasn't done it since, but a few more times and we'll have to move the mattress down.

He has yet to start crawling but gets closer everyday. He can get up on his knees but his face is smushed on the ground. And he can get up on his hands, but can't get his knees up at the same time. He is really good at rolling around and scooting however and pretty much gets to where he wants to go on the carpet.

One more funny note. Parker absolutely loves to walk around while holding onto your fingers. He will snatch your fingers and start to lift himself up before you can even get ready! and he throws a fit if you let go of his fingers (if you can get your fingers loose)
