Well I'd like to our say summer fun included a little bit of traveling, but we have yet to make it more than 10 minutes from our house this summer. However, we have been enjoying not spending money and using our pool, bikes, and attending the occasional birthday party.
(Parker and his cousins trying to "hit" the cupcake pinata with a pen. lol)
Parker's teeth are coming in nicely, but he hasn't gotten any new ones yet. He has probably explored every inch of this house and is now starting to open cupboards and pull himself up. He is also thoroughly entertained by chasing little plastic balls around the house. He crawls up to it, picks it up, sits on his bottom, then lets it go and roll across the floor. From there the process repeats for about 20-30 minutes. (video in the photo album)
(can you see his little teeth????)
Some other things Parker loves:
Going on walks and pointing at stuff
Bathtime- he crawls around in the bath and loves the sprayer
Swimming! he kicks and kicks and kicks! loves being in the water
Dancing- anytime his toys start playing music he shakes his little body
Storytime- Parker loves reading books. He will sit and listen to as many books as you will read him. He gets a little upset when the story is over and you say "the end". If he doesnt like the book he will get up and let you know.
His Walker- once he gets in he zooms down the hall. Watch your toes
Bike rides- he sits in the little trailer and lets his voice vibrate on the bumps
Fruit, yogurt, and cheese! sadly he doesn't eat enough vegetables, but he's just not interested.
Parker's next cardiologist appointment is in August. I'm anxious to hear how his little heart is doing. And also to hear if the valves are working appropriately. He's such an active little boy that you'd never guess he had open heart surgery! But I am always thinking about it and reminded every day at bath time when I see his beautiful scar. We have been truly blessed.
