Now We Wait

So I was all packed up and ready to go to the cardiologist with Parker on Tuesday. I had a bag full of his favorite snacks and an episode of Sid the Science Kid on the Ipod. We showed up to the cardiologist office to a surprised front desk lady. Apparently the scheduling office did not tell the downtown office (cardiologist) that we were coming! And the echo tech was not in that day so we were reluctantly turned away. Luckily we were rescheduled for the next day!

Parker was such a champ! I didn't even have to break out the bag of goodies. He laid on the bed and was distracted by a little octopus that Trevor dangled over him. It was pretty funny. Occasionally he would reach for the wand and stick his hands in the gel on his chest. And every time he heard his heart beat, he'd pause and then look over at the monitor. It was really cute. He is such a sweet little boy and I'm so glad that he's pretty mellow and we didn't have to hold him down.
Now we wait till Wednesday to meet with Dr. VanGundy to hear how everything looks and sounds.

Parker officially said his first word. He says mama and dada, but his first official word is SNAP! Whenever I buckle him in the car seat I say snap. And I noticed last week that it sounded like he was repeating me! We also sing the song about the monkeys sitting in the tree teasing mr. crocodile "can't catch me". Along comes mr. crocodile... SNAP! And now he's really good at saying it and at the right time in the song too!. We'll try to record it and post it soon.

Today we went to Petsmart and looked at the animals. Parker LOVED it! He laughed at the hamsters, birds, fish, rats, and guinea pigs! His favorite were the guinea pigs. He was cracking up at the guinea pig running around the cage. (video in the album) Unfortunately I think we are bound to have a few animals in our home. But I think I can hold it off for another year or two.
